I've eaten a lot of roast beef sandwiches, some from famous Manhattan delis at twice the price, but none that were as good as... Grumpy's concoction: a soft roll stuffed full of tender, moist, and delicious rare roast beef, au jus on the side, and accentedwith pepper jack cheese and roasted red pepper. WOW!! That's the first thought I had when I tasted the Pink Floyd sandwich (secret menu!) today! I walked in to the restaurant... today and it was very clear that I was a first timer, lol. I didn't catch the cook's name, but he was great to talk to. Heimmediately gave me a generous slice of corned beef and also a slice of the hand carved turkey and both were amazing. When Iwent to make the order, I wanted to recreate a sandwich that I used to have years ago at an old job. I started to describe whatI wanted and he was finishing my description exactly how I was going to say it! He and his daughter (pretty sure) both knewthat I was ordering the Pink Floyd. Half roast beef, half turkey, with long hots, pepper Jack cheese and red pepper relish. Itwas so good!!! Comes with Cole slaw also, which I forgot to have in the pic. Such a cool restaurant with a true neighborhoodfeel. I could tell that they knew most of the customers and heard people ordering "the usual". Service was awesome too! Willdefinitely be going back.
