Food was deliciously made. But me and my son did not feel welcomed when we came the young lady's customer service did not make... me feel like I want to return. She seemed like she was more attentive to the music more so than making us feel welcome. I thinkimprovements in customer service could be better. I asked her about an item , she made me feel like I was not suppose to. Maybeshe was having a bad day. Other than that The food is awesome. I am planning to open my own food truck business, and I love togive our black owned businesses my business, I have never felt this way in one before. I apologize if I offended in anyway. Everything was delicious and portions were large. The oxtail was tender and the rice and cabbage were seasoned nicely. Jerk... chicken was just the right amount of spice for me and tasty. Definitely a new favorite and highly recommend! Read more
Cute little restaurant, green building, can't miss it. It's a bit pricy to eat here depending on what you think expensive is. 1... large jerk chicken platter, 1 small jerk chicken platter, 1 beef patty, 1 carrot cake and 2 bottles of tings cost *$40*.Customer service was "eh", the lady there seemed really tired and wasn't in the talking mood, which is understandable. Don'trecommend the spicy sauce on the jerk chicken unless you want to be pooing out fire a couple hours after you eat. The yams were"different", they were cut into baby slices and the rice and peas tasted a day old. A bottle of Ting cost $3 and you cannormally get them for $1.50 so that's disappointing. Carrot cake was delicious, I think it was homemade, the icing tastedperfectly sweet and whipped, I love how they didn't had nuts inside of it, I hate nuts in my carrot cakes, just raisins. I willcome again because the food was decent and can't find any other Jamaican spot near me. The food is wildly inconsistent. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's WAY too spicy. Like not just the meat, but the macaroni &... cheese and the WHITE RICE (??) were spicy as well. And not just a little spicy... I drank a half gallon of iced tea and a glassof milk while eating and I still couldn't feel my tongue. It's impossible to taste the food when it's that spicy. Anotherproblem is the service. I noticed that they were underestimating the time it takes for the food to be ready, so I showed upfifteen minutes late (was told 25-30 minutes, showed up after 45). Not only was the food unprepared, it's clear that theyhadn't even started yet. I waited in the store for another 22 minutes before my order arrived at the counter. The point ofcalling ahead is to not have to wait in the restaurant; why start the order after the customer arrives? This was toward the endof the day as well- no other orders went out in the meantime and no other customers came into the store while I was waiting;they weren't busy at all. I don't get it. I'm going with two stars instead of one only because the portions are absolutelyenormous. You get a ton of food that tastes pretty good when it isn't 90% ghost peppers. Read more
