Last night I stopped by Sylvia?s Jamaican Restaurant to see if they had oxtails. Omg they did!! The very friendly gentleman (may... have been the owner) gave me a sample. It was so delicious! I took a very generous amount home to share with hubby. He loved itand he is very picky eater. Please go try it. I can?t wait to go back and try other dishes. Read more

I have been to Sylvia's many times and I must say, without a doubt, that Sylvia's Jamaican restaurant is the best place to get... jamaican food in the (845) area. Authenticity 5-star Quality 5-star Taste 5-star Service 5-Star Staff 5-star I have nothingterrible to say about this wonderful establishment. The staff is sincere and respectful. The quality and taste of food is betterthan any competing West Indian/Jamaican restaurants in the near-by vicinity. As a Jamaican myself, I really appreciate how theyfocus on the Authenticity of the taste of the food and not try to cater too much to an American audience by changing the recipe.They're formula has proven that authentic Jamaican can be succesful.
