Apps and drinks with a large group of friends. Food was good, large selection of beers and ciders (including pumpkin) good... drinks. Zoey was very attentive and a lot of fun, making sure our drinks were full and the table was cleared as we continuouslyordered more food as the night progressed. Eclectic mix of music where I liked all of the songs, and there was something foreveryone. Bar got busy as the Saturday night progressed but it was still manageable and not packed so as to make it difficult tonavigate or unpleasant. This was my first time, but I'll definitely be back. Our bartender was the best bartender I have ever had period and I?m 54. She was amazing. Boss of the bar. Was In control of... everything and still made time to talk and be personal. Really on the fence about this place. Nothing bad to say. Typical pub food. I had a hamburger with fries. It was fine just... nothing special. My friend likes their fries, I didn't especially care for them but again nothing to complain about. I will saythe service was slow although we went on a Saturday night and the place was full. This is the second time I've been to Tavern 23 and the friendly hello from Zoe behind the bar made my wife and I feel welcome... right away. We started of with an order of Buffalo Wings, of which were prepared to perfection. Our meals consisted of aperfectly cooked Bacon Cheddar Barbecue Burger and the Fisherman's Platter. Cool place to hangout and get some great beer and really good food. The only issue I had was it took at least 30 min to get our... food. Waiter never said anything to us. Was maybe 20 people in the restaurant, so I wasn?t sure what took so long. Anyway, oncethe food finally came out, it was very good and hot. I got the wings and my wife got the chicken Caesar wrap.
