Wife and I dropped in today for lunch. We were two of a total of 6 people at noon on a Tuesday. We used to own a deli and have... been in food service biz, so we have an idea of what we see when we visit various restaurants. Not a good lunch crowd. The placeseriously needs to clean or replace the kitchen exhaust system. We both left smelling like french fries. Stray dogs followed ushome. Full stop. Very strong grease odor inside. Not good. I had the "Bossburger" which was over cooked, dry and much smallerthan when Louie Karem owned it. It came with a tiny bag of chips. $13.95. Wife had some kind of a chicken wrap. She said it wasok. We both had iced tea. Seemed homemade. Total tab was $31+ tip. I know food costs have risen. But I believe this burger hasdoubled in price and is substantially smaller than used to be served. The place is a good neighborhood watering hole. It'sneeded in Norton Commons. But the food quality seems to have fallen off with the change in ownership last fall. We'll go backfor a beer sometime...but I'll stick with my own burgers off the grill. YMMV. You WILL want to shower after you leave. ???????? Read more
Wow! This week?s Karem?s Saturday special was off the charts good. Half rack of smoked St. Louis style ribs glazed in honey bbq... sauce with green beans, baked beans, and a loaded baked potato for only $19.95. And the pomegranate martinis were icing on thecake. Great food great value! Read more

I had dinner tonight at Karems for the first time. I can say my expectations were completely exceed. Our server, Jillian, was... nothing short of excellent. She was fun, energetic and enthusiastic (the type of traits that are contagious). Our meal wasprepared promptly, even with a full restaurant. Jillian made sure our drinks were never empty and our tummy?s were full. Betweenthe delicious food with exceptional service, I?m pleased enough to write a review and be back for dinner again soon!
