We went here as our last stop on a self-guided food tour of Providence. We wish we had gone here earlier to have more room for... all the savory food! We got assorted baklava, cardamom ginger mint tea, and this incredible tamarind date drink. Great Syrian Cafe near Brown campus. Expertly decorated with middle eastern themes. They have board games and activities. The... highlight is their baklava collection. Great food from a refugee owned restaurant. Aleppo Sweet has some amazing eats from Syria. We had ordered a plate of knafeh... yesterday and we loved it so much we had to try more from there. We had Turkish coffee with some fresh fluffy fatayar bread, onewith cheese and another with lamb. Also had to order some lamb kabob that was juicy with a hint of spice! Definitely one of my new favorite spots in Providence. If you haven?t been here yet, you?re missing out! Everything was... delicious and the decor inside was beautiful. It does get busy and is first come first served. Highly recommend the ginger teawith cardamom, any kebabs, and the baklava! You?ll leave full and the price is very reasonable.
