The food was really delicious! The chicken was crisp and flavorful, the Mac and Cheese was scrumptious, the collard greens were... savory and the cornbread was fluffy. The sides complimented the chicken well. My only issue is that the one side chicken plate(small) was $10 while the two side chicken plate (large) was $18. I understand inflation but that seems like it?s too steep. $10seems like a great value meal while $18 seems like it?s overpriced. Just my two cents. Read more
My second visit and decided to give a review. Great decor, very clean and bright. Colors add a nice vibe to the space. Customer... service was good and young woman who waited on us was very kind. There was another person sitting behind the counter with ahoodie over her head on her cellphone. Didn?t know if she was working or just hanging out, either way wasn?t a good look. Foodwas disappointing, greens were cold, potato salad was definitely not homemade, and catfish filets were so thin they weretasteless. Prices are a bit high for quality/quantity. A past review commented on the loud music and I agree. Not only was theTV playing music, but while we were eating, someone in the kitchen decided to play different music and turned up the volume VERYLOUD! Too much noise - our relaxing dine in turned to an abrupt take out. I?m all for background music but are you a restaurantor a nightclub? I?m not one to care too much about prices if the portions are good but I ordered two side of Mac & cheese $8 each and the small... pans were barely filled up half way... like BARELY. I bought the two sides for two separate people and ended up just giving bothto one person because one pan just wasn?t enough for one person. The yams & corn bread were great! Container for the yams wasfilled and I received a good piece of cornbread but this is the second time I?m ordering baked Mac and it?s like y?all don?thave enough to give. I have to say I was very impressed.. was a lil expensive for the portioning but that also could of been due to ordering on... ubereats. Next time I?ll try ordering for take out and see if that makes a difference. But the food was phenomenal. Collardgreens were perfect. Corn bread was out of this world. The mac and cheese was great. Only thing I could make a tiny criticismabout was my wings could of used just a slight tiny bit more of seasoning on them.
