There?s tons of Pizza places here in Providence. That being said Pizza Pie-er sets itself apart. I can?t say it?s #1 because... that?s subjective, but it is unique. The pizza is always fresh and never greasy or overly burnt. This is the only pizza spot Ican eat half a pie and not feel overly full or sick after. The foldable boxes are pretty neat too. Read more
Called well ahead for pick up. You can be busy, but hot tip, a ?hi, just one moment? goes surprisingly far, especially when the... alternative is standing awkwardly at the register for upwards of 10 minutes minutes while 3+ people straight up pretend you?renot there. I literally had to call the store while I was inside, wait for the other person on the line to finish, and talk onthe phone in front of the employees face to even be acknowledged?? You wrote a review for Pier Pizza 11 minutes ago 1.0 star rating7/28/2022 How Not to Do Customer Service: Okay, I will admit... that I made the first mistake. I ordered a medium pizza with anchovies on my phone (via Door Dash) for delivery. The order wentthrough before I was able to place a note that the anchovies were only to be on one-half of the pizza. As soon as the orderwent through, I realized my mistake. I immediately called Pizzapier. I was placed on hold by a member of the staff - waited 5minutes before I realized no one was going to pick up my call. I called again, had to wait for about 3 minutes before anotherstaff member picked up. I told him my issue, and that I needed to change my order to half Cheese / half Anchovy. He said "NoProblem!". Great! I get a ping from Door Dash in ten minutes that they are on their way. Great! Door Dash gets there, andwhen I bring the pizza up to the kitchen, I open the box, and, of course, the Pizza is all anchovies. I immediately callPizzapier, and after another 3-5 minute wait (they're busy , I get it), the guy who told me it was "No Problem" answered thephone. I told him that the order was prepared wrong, and I needed a replacement. He told me that after my phone call, he toldthe kitchen but they said it was too late as the pie had already gone in the oven, and there was nothing to be done. (Did theycall me back to tell me that? No.) I told him that was unacceptable (I am a multiple repeat customer), and he answered that byhanging up the phone on me. That, of course, was more than annoying - so I called back, this time I got another Staff Member.I explained the problem to him and he said it wasn't their problem, it was Door Dashes. I said "Your guy told me it would betaken care of and that there was 'no problem', so at that point, imho, its Pizzapier's problem". He answered that by hanging upthe phone on me too.
