Food delicious ???? However, service not attentive.
Saw this restaurant had a good review in NY Times and we decided to stop by. I?m giving 4 stars for the food, which, other than... taking a pretty long time to be prepared, was amazing. They also have great sangria! The service, however, leaves much to bedesired. They were nice enough but didn?t check on the table at all except to take our order and pick up the check at the end. Update: Changing to 1 star because I never received my refund & I was recharged for a 2nd order that didn't even belong to me.... HORRIBLE! The place itself is beautiful. However, table placement is off. So, if you bring a baby stroller, get prepared to askother diners to allow some space for you to get through. This place has been on my list of places to try for over a year now & Iwas sadly disappointed. For being an ecuadorian restaurant-not once, did they play Ecuadorian music. The waitress also just tookour order & gave us our checks & never checked on our table unless we were the ones that called her over. We ordered a bandejapaisa & an hornado cuencano. The bandeja paisa was overall good except for the pork-extra dry. My hornado cuencano had no flavorwhatsoever & a piece of aluminum foil was still stuck to the skin of the pork. I had to add salt & hot sauce to give it someflavor. The waitress was very kind but forgetful. We had ordered more hot sauce & another drink & when we asked her about it 15minutes later, she had completely forgotten about it. My 1st drink which was the Carnaval de la muerte was delicious!!! But theTuza drink had no flavor & to end the night I was charged for someone else's order, which was of a higher amount & then we hadto wait for management to rectify it.
