I have just had macaroons here, so my review is solely based on that. I took vanilla bean and caramel pumpkin macaroon, both of... them tasted way too sweet than the ones I have had. I did find the macaroon biscuit heavy as well. They do have buy one get onefree offer on Tuesdays. I will definitely come to try cakes, coffee or ice cream. Read more
The customer service is unprofessional. I walked in to place a special ordered my son?s 1st Birthday cake a over a week before... his birthday. He?s allergic to dairy, eggs, and soy. I communicated that to the manger and it was written down on his ordersheet by an employee. It was confirmed with the manager as well that the cake can be made. The day before his party, I called toconfirm his order and was then told the cake could not be made because there is soy in their vegan cake ingredients. I washighly disappointed and received nothing for this HUGE inconvenience besides an, ?I?m sorry?. I am still disappointed in theestablishment because this could have been prevented the day we walked in a week ago. It?s obvious the staff aren?t aware ofwhat?s in their cakes as well. Stopped in for dessert after lunch. Pretty good selection and reasonable prices. The bars (blondies, brownies) are huge?at least... twice as big as what you'll find at most cafés for the same price. I got the funfetti Oreo blondie, and it was delicious! Read more

While this used to be the premiere bake shop of Raleigh, the artistry, craft, and customer service are long gone. Having worked... there myself years ago in it's prime, the only thing that still is standing the test of time is Judy & Beth's pound cake recipe(which is still to this day incredible). While typically I would have made the cake myself, I was throwing a baby shower for afriend and didn't have time, so I ordered it from Edible Art. While still tasting delicious, what I received was nothing shortof a grocery store cake. Sloppy handwriting, poor icing job, terrible illustration, sparsely decorated and no attention todetail--all for a $75 decoration fee on top of the cake price! What?!? Are you kidding me?!? Melinda would have lost her mind. Iguess that's what happens when a family business gets tarnished after years of multiple business owners. Which brings me to thecurrent owner...so rude and unprofessional. When I nicely asked to have a few of the elements of the cake fixed, he told me that"We will not be fixing it, sorry." Really?!? I had ordered the cake over a month ago (put a deposit down because it was $175)and he was arguing with me about cake colors and handwriting? Not only that he yelled at me, saying "do you know how hard it isto find cake decorators in an economy like this?!". Well, I ended up paying for the cake (minus some of the design fee) and tookit over to another bakery, where they nicely took my cake last minute (THANK YOU!!), scraped all the icing/decorations off andredecorated it beautifully for $30 in less than 24hrs. They literally saved the day. Sorry, Edible Art, you just lost one ofyour biggest fans and it just breaks my heart. Read more
