I wondered on this location in the storm and glad I did. This was absolutely the best food I've had in a while, outside of my... own cooking. Johnnie was very helpful in helping me with my order. I ordered the lemon pepper wing combo with fried okra, halfchicken plate with baked beans and potato salad. I also ordered a homeless person sitting outside 6 boneless bbq wings withfries and a sprite. Me and my Nanny devoured the food and hummed as we ate. Johnnie said I would return and he is absolutelyright. We can't wait to try the ribs, possibly tomorrow. Read more
Everything is cooked in the same sauce. The baked beans taste like they are canned, and not even as good as Bush's, This is a... rib place, explain to me why they can't throw a little meat in those beans for some flavor? My friend and I absolutely could notfigure out why in the world it had so many people in the restaurant. We actually spoke to people at three surrounding tablesthey said they had never been there before but they would never be back! I guess I was only happy to hear we were validated inour opinions. I feel sorry for those that think this place is good. Because you obviously have never had the opportunity to havesome good BBQ and that's a shame. Read more
Food is pretty good, but noticed quality is not the same as years ago. My favorite used to be the chicken salad that offers... this slight peppery flavor. But today, it was just blah. But there are some good options on the menu and the sides (potatosalad and cole slaw)are delish! Peach cobbler is another family favorite as well. Read more
Shane?s is not bad for a fast food style BBQ. I like it better than Dickey?s as they have some more interesting menu options... and their prices are in touch with reality. My only negative about these guys is the consistency. Sometimes steak fries,sometimes crinkle cut. Sometimes wing sauce is spicy, sometimes it?s mild. Sometimes there is way too much sauce, other timesits lightly sauced. The staff are great and friendly. And I love somewhere that leaves sauces out for you and doesn?t make youbeg for them. Came here for a family lunch when siblings came to town. Had 9 people total. Staff easily pushed tables together for us to... accommodate. Food came quickly, though the burger took a bit to cook. I was warned the burger would take about 15 minutes whenordering, so no problem with that. All and all a pleasant experience, though I do wish they'd put the sauces back out instead ofhaving to request them. Read more
