I didn't like Catfish until I tried it here. I must say it is the best. It's seasoned and fried to perfection and always crisp... and hot served. I truly enjoyed it. I celebrated two birthdays here and the staff is amazing. They were very attentive to ourneeds and the food is delicious. I also tried the seafood boil which is a favorite and the wings. Read more
The food here is excellent! When you arrive the server places paper on the table and brings you a plate of sliced bread... sprinkled with Cajun seasoning. I ordered the fried catfish platter with cole slaw and a side of hush puppies. The catfish wasdelicious and not overpowered by too much coating or grease. The server was busy but very nice. Good experience at Not Just Crab. They started the meal with some complimentary toasted butter bread with old bay sprinkles. Me... and my boyfriend both ordered seafood boils and they were well seasoned and delicious. We originally were going to get a half lbof crab each, but was told that a single cluster was offered with the half lb so we opted for a full lb of crab (2 clusters). Wealso both got headless shrimp with the order. The boil came with potatoes and corn, I added in boiled eggs. It was spectacular!The crabs were full and meaty and the shrimp were plump. Plenty to eat there and take some home. I went on Fri evening and theyhad music playing and karaoke going. Definitely a fun vibe and experience. This was my first visit and it was based on a friend's recommendation. The staff were friendly and personable. I ordered the... catfish basket with sweet potato fries and shrimp basket with regular fries. Portions are very important to me and I wasextremely satisfied. Shrimp were huge and cooked well. Fish was good. Sweet potato fries were great. The regular fries were justok. The only suggestion I have for places like this is to offer a combination basket. I will be back and tell others about it.
