We were there last night. The German Buffet food was dry and not the quality of German food we?ve had at other restaurants. ... No knife to cut it also. Our waitress forgot who she was delivering to twice. Tried to bring us other patrons food twice. No butter on table. Had to ask for it. When she brought us the check she never came back to get it. When we were going tothe bar afterwards we tried to hand the check to someone and they said you have to pay the waitress. They asked what shelooked like and she came to the bar and got it brought it back but never came back to get it. Had a grasshopper which took awhile to get and drank it. She didn?t come back. We left the signed check on the bar. The salad bar and soup was excellent asus usual. We were looking forward to going back as the ribeye last time was excellent. It didn?t even bother us last timewhen a patron was talking to a waitress and another worker yelled at a patron to quit bothering her as she had work to do. Itwas loud and everyone turned and looked. We went here for a very last minute date night. My mom suggested the place to us and I'm glad she did! The food and service were... both excellent!! Everything was so delicious, from the salad to our entrees. You know the cheese curds are good when they'restill squeaky after being deep fried! Our waitress was fun, chatty, helpful, and kind! After 20 years driving by, my husband and I decided to stop, I should?ve drove right by, my steak you could?ve used as a frisbee... and the salad was not fresh and the bread Was literally hard as a rock, it came out warm but after a few minutes it was rockhard. When you Google the website it should come with a warning label beware of really bad food. When we got the bill we werecharged for other peoples drinks. The last Saturday of of the month they have a German buffet, and a polka accordian/singer. Their German potato salad is the best... ever. Our waitress was so friendly and helpful. I ordered prime rib, a Saturday special. It was very tender and flavorfulwith a homemade au jus. Homemade mini loaves of bread. A very well stocked and fresh salad bar. Only thing I was not satisfiedwith was the bloody Mary. It was not the best tasting and came with only a small pickle and lots of ice. Their special tonightwas grasshoppers, brandy Alexander and peach ice cream drinks for $2.50. And to best serve all the customers the tables areclose providing a cozy atmosphere. We have gone here for thr German buffet several times in the past, we were pleased in the past but this time, not so much. We... waited forever for our waitress, menus, water etc. We all had the buffet and with the exception of the saurerbratan, everythingwas over done and the vegetables were mush. We will give it another shot but if it hasn't improved we will move on. Read more
