Sushi Boat was excellent and server took great care to make sure we had everything we needed.
This place was overall ok. They could improve the inside decor and add more tables. The crab rangoons are very good. I love that... they are in a thin and crispy pastry. Service was very good. The teriyaki chicken needed way more teriyaki sauce and thechicken was a little spongy. Maybe it was overcooked?. it tasted like low quality chicken. The portion size was good. Thechicken cutlet also seemed like low quality chicken, but the flavor of the sauce was very good. Also good portion size. I wasn?t expecting any decent sushi in South Dakota. This sushi was totally fine. No complaints. I tried the sushi place... available in Sioux Falls a couple weeks ago, and it was no good. Wow. Mind-blowing experience. We started our trip here and everything since has been a disappointment in comparison to this... place. The spring rolls are the best you'll ever have. My new favorite sushi place in Rapid City. Central location between downtown and School of Mines. Solid food, very reasonably... priced, and minimalist ambiance. Sesame balls and bean cake mochi are awesome. Staff is friendly and professional. My onlydisappointment is that they close at 8 pm (and they're pretty militant about the 7:30 last seating and 7:45 last call from thekitchen). As a guy who used to work in hospitality, I'm glad staff gets to go home at a reasonable hour, but as a person whousually eats dinner late, it's sometimes tricky to slide in before the kitchen staff turn into pumpkins.
