Was pretty busy, but the staff still was able to help me find the books I was after.

I have been a regular customer here for years. The first employee I talked to today was super helpful. I was getting a gift... for someone that came with me to the store and he took it to the front for me and was helping me find the gift. The cashierthough?not so much. She told me that there was nothing at the counter for me until I said that I handed it to another employeein the store and then she found the said item. Didn?t ask me for a bag, even though I told her I was with the person who thegift was for. When I asked for a bag, she made me grab 25 cents out of my wallet because she didn?t change me for one. Superunfriendly and rude. If I had time, I would have put in a formal complaint due to her behaviour. Read more

They accidentally charged me about $40.00 for Plum membership then said they could not refund it. The cashier was helpful but... the manager was not. She said there was an eight step process to do the refund and she would have to call their Customer Service I said I was in a rush but wanted the money back. She magically managed to do the refund but put it on a gift card. I askedthem to redeem it for cash but she showed me the hand, said there was nothing she could do and called for the next customer. For 50 years I've been getting Jumbo Penny Press Crosswords and Word games and now get told I can't get them unless I go online... from Chapters/ Indigo? That's garbage. I suggest Chapters Red Deer contact supplier and find out why this is happening!!! I donttrust online banking as I got hacked on there!!! Read more
