The atmosphere in here is cute l. I loved how colorful it was. However the salsa isn't made there and was bland. The blended... margarita I had was frustrating because it had big chunks of ice in it making it hard to drink. The rice tasted like it was madewith canned stewed tomatoes and chicken broth, no seasoning that I could taste and it was left under the broiler for too longbecause it had crunchy black bits of rice on the top. The chicken in my enchilada tasted pretty good, but the sauce on toptasted like it came out of a can. I think this place is more suited to people who can't have or don't like a lot of seasoning orspice in their Mexican food. Read more

I have been there many times over the years and have noticed recently that there has been a slow downgrade in their service and... food. This last visit was exceptionally bad. The restaurant was empty except for 1 couple. Our server was slow, my saladdressing was watered down. The food order was not correct. It seems that the only thing they got right during this visit wasthe bill. I don't know if I can go back after this visit. Read more
This was my first visit to Tortilla Flats restaurant in Redding, CA. with my son and grandson. The waitress we had named Amanda... was delightful and suggested the special of the day for us. We dined at tortilla flats tonight, loved our server but was very slow with only 5 tables and a bar full. I saw 2 servers and a... bartender. Bartender had her hands full and was killing it. Our server was still friendly, no complaints on her, attitude wasamazing, Amanda is the only reason I give any stars. Food... TV dinner, microwaved burnt on top. Salsa I give a .5. Chips in amini salsa dish.. maybe try a bigger salsa dish. 4 full chips and crumbs is not enough for a family of 4. Pre-made margaritas ata Mexican restaurant? Uhh ok..? I've personally met the owner before (being a server) and I figured as much as Cindy hascomplained about her dish at (x) restaurant. She should have hers be perfect.
