Not go again / price = ~$15+ / service = above average / cleanliness = average / management = below average Ordered the... "famous" Tony's cheese garlic bread, oysters half shell, salmon and clam chowder, seafood combo all totaling around ~$66+. Noneare quite worth it. First, as I waited for a table, the greeting was terrible. In who seems to be the owner or manager (blondeCaucasian lady), there was a very unwelcome vibe I was given when taking my name for seating and whenever I asked the time tosit. Following that was the average to below average taste of the food. For a restaurant that seems to have been establishedsince 1952 and a popular place to go, the food tasted like it never changed from the old days. From the oysters to the chowdersand the main dish of a seafood combo, the recipes tasted as old as the establishment. There are much improvements neededthroughout the menu. The clam chowder is one of the worst I ever hadm tastes like sludge. Although it comes with the main dish, the salad was such a poor excuse of a supplementary salad. I can make better with quality ingredients in 5 sec. Literally, itwas just dead lettuce, croutons, and balsamic vinaigrette. Poor for even the most basic dinner salads. The cheese bread isnothing special. Same in being less than average. The oysters half shell is highly not recommended. Maybe because it isoff-season but not having it on menu is more ideal. The final main dish of a seafood combo was nothing particular as well. I canmake far better at home in a short time. Only reason for 2 stars vs 1 is because of the good service. Otherwise, the parking isample based on the lots at the pier. The interior was cool and gave a classic beach restaurant vibe. Situated in the heart ofthe pier, the views are amazing and the open windows brings in all the fresh Redondo Beach air. Read more

Good lunch spot if you're walking around the Redondo Beach Pier. Food is a little pricey for what it is, service was a little... slow, but eating so close to and with a view of the water was really special. We had the cheesy garlic bread and fish and chipswhich were good. They were out of crab cakes when we went but I wanted to try them. Read more

Having been in the South Bay area most of my life, at 56 years of age, I've been to many great restaurants, locally; of which... there is no shortage to choose from on any given day. That said, it's hard to beat Tony's On the Pier, if you love surf andturf, and I do mean in every imaginable competitive dining fare capacity. I won't say they're inexpensive, but the ARE qualityfor the price, and that's enough when you simply want what Tony's has delivered, every single time I've ever been there for thefood, without fail. You could do a lot worse, and I look forward to going there for my birthday next week, bigtime. Read more
