Fantastic friendly little brewpub specializing in English-style cask beers. The food has always been good too, my favorites are... the buffalo chicken sandwich and the pulled pork. The cask beers are relatively modest in their alcohol and carbonation levels,but quite tasty... which makes them totally slamable (sessionable). Big-V Amber, Wenlock Stout, and their Brewster's Pale Aleare my favorites, all malt-driven and just silky smooth out of the cask. Shared outdoor seating is a plus, and they routinelyhave live music and even comedians sometimes, despite being kind of small and cozy. Love this place, and love theircontribution to the thriving local beer scene. Update after two years of fun: Everything still rocks about this place, but onething I forgot to mention... they sell sixth kegs of most of their excellent beers, for those of us with kegerators. Yes, localtop notch quality microbrew kegs for home. Only brewery around that I found would sell me a keg. Got me through theshutdown! Really liked their Double IPA and Oktoberfest beers. Plus the flight for $13 is a great value for the amount of beer. The... turkey burger is absolutely delicious, one of the best I've had. Has a great turkey flavor, unlike most turkey burgers that youcan barely tell you're eating turkey. Read more
