We decided to dine at Johnny Rockets at the Grand Sierra in Reno. What a mistake. There were only two other tables with patrons... there. There were probably 6 or more tables that were full of dirty dishes and the windows above many tables including ours werefilthy with greasy food residue. Then we ordered. 2 Originals with cheese well done on the hamburger and a basket of fries tosplit. The hamburger was undercooked and the fries were lukewarm. The bun on the burgers were so greasy that our hands literallywere dripping from the oil that they must have doused them with to appear fresh. We returned the fries and I only ate around theedges of the burger before I decided that it was enough. We approached the cash register and this lady tried to give us ourfries as if we both were there to retrieve them. So for two hamburgers it was 22.00 then since we added american cheese it addedanother 3.00. This place wasn?t the Johnny Rockets that we remembered from previous visits. The music wasn?t from the 50?s buthad a strong Asian sound. There was only one waitress working. I remember that they use to have many. The manager (I think) wasmore focused only the condiments and not bothered on the filthy restaurant. They had several chairs shoved up against an exitthat clearly stated above the door that it must remain unlocked during business hours. Hello! Table was dirty when seated, had ask to have it (reluctantly) cleaned. Took 30 minutes to receive our food, it wasn't busy. My... wife's burger was raw in the middle, my friend's wife's chicken strips were burnt. We ordered two baskets of fries (they areseparate) they decided to split them between the three burgers, none for chicken strips. Cleaning supplies stored on the counterwhere the trays of food were prepared for waiters to take to the tables. Expected better for $80, we will not be going back!!!! Read more
Food was good but the service was lacking. Another table that arrived after we did was served before us. A family was seated... next to us and they ended up walking out due to the long wait time. This was on a slow Sunday afternoon. The booths also needsome major TLC, the cushions are worn and in disrepair. Was a bit overpriced, for a burger, fries and no beverage it was $17. Read more
I stood at the kiosk for over 10 minutes. The staff just kept walking past me. I watched as four staff were just standing... together talking and laughing. I had to stop one staff so they would acknowledge me. he sat me at a table that was not clean.There were 11 open tables. Where I was sitting I could see the fries cook. He was eating fries as he was cooking them. He wasalso using his cell phone while cooking. All while wearing the same black gloves. My meal came . The burger was about a 1/3smaller then before. This was one of the worst meals I have ever had at Johnny Rockets. My server was nice but very cold. Shedid not seem to be very knowledgeable with the menu. 10/22/22 Visit: Family friendly and open atmosphere, updated 50?s diner decor. Tina was an amazing waiter and food was attempted... imitation of In&Out; but way more expensive. Recommend for date night or friends outing. There are better burger places in Reno. Read more
