A neighbor and I had a lunch date at Mirbeau's today and it was wonderful! I had a delicious pork belly BLT with an accompanying... salad and she had a scrumptious turkey sandwich and salad. Sparkling water, a glass of white wine, cappuccino and freshly brewedblack coffee were our beverages. We were there for 3 hours. We were not rushed at all and the service was amazing. Thesurroundings were beautiful and resplendent in Holiday decor, which just was the icing on the cake! We are both members, but Ihaven't gone for a while because life got in the way. But today was a great way to bring on the holiday cheer! Enjoy! Read more

The Thanksgiving Dinner could have been better. This is our third time here for Thanksgiving, and the meal gets a little worse... each year. To start with, the bread was awful. French dinner rolls would have been more appropriate. The Butternut SquashSoup was delicious. The turkey was okay, a little dry, but good. The mashed potatoes were terrible. They used Idaho potatoeswhich lacked flavor and tasted watered down. The stuffing was okay but could have had more texture to them. The cranberrysauce was awful. The gravy was okay but tasted over-spiced with thyme. The pumpkin pie was horrible. The ice cream and themaple sauce were good. The decaffeinated coffee was way too strong. The men serving the meal were amiable. I do hope the chefwill look at my comments. I consider myself a food concierge. Read more

We had a reservation for tonight..we were seated..the place was empty.. And they said they didn't serve dinner from the Hudson... Valley Restaurant Week menu tonight, on Sunday? I explained that we made the reservation and had no idea that it wasn'tavailable for Sunday night. They let us walk out! Wow! No wonder they had no customers? Read more

The meal and service was wonderful!! However it was down-pouring at the time we were suppose to leave. They told us we could... grab a drink at the bar to wait out the down pouring rain. The bartender was completely ignoring us and just kept counting herdrawer. She never acknowledged us and when we mentioned it to the maître d?, they didn?t do anything about it. They clearlywanted to leave early. It was very unexpected for such an expensive place. Read more

Beautiful location. The staff was pleasant and attentive. When I asked the hostess if she could turn down the a/c, she said... she could not. However, the manager did. The mushroom platter as an appetizer was wonderful, nice soft rolls and perfectcosmopolitan. The salmon was the common Atlantic - sauce was a tad too lemony, needed more butter. The Wagu filet was not upto par and was served on the plate with nothing around it. No sauce, no greens to dress up the plate...nothing. I ordered itmedium and that was done correctly. When I got the bill for the filet, I was taken back. They charged me $90 for a filet thatwas not at all what I expected. I've had much better "prime" filets that this supposed Wagu. The wine list is good and thedessert was great. Overall, I'm only giving it 3 stars and it was generally overpriced and not terribly special. Read more
