Nice cozy environment for gathering! I had dinner there with a friend. We ordered KFC and Tuna Tataki as our appetizers, sooo... good! Love the Tuna Tataki especially!! A MUST TRY! Fish was sooo fresh, and the special paste and sauce that come with the fishwas over the top, in combination with the tuna and seaweed wrap, Im super impressed with this dish! Will definitely come backfor this appe!! Then we got the seafood spaghetti and sablefish as our main courses! I have to say! Both are awesooommmee!!!Sablefish was for sure the best I have tried! Great texture and flavor profile! Great price!! Seafood spaghetti was FULL offresh seafood, the sauce is PERFECT!! Very filling and satisfied! The location is situated right within the heart of Stevenston Village and outdoor seating is fantastic. The food is well priced... but portions are small. I was told that the green apple juice is freshly squeezed and it sure tasted as such. The taste of thefood otherwise is satisfactory. The yogurt is well made but the seasonal fruits can use some improvements. The stand of hair onone of the eggs made this place lose one star - hence the 3 star rating. Read more
It was okay. Food was mediocre but there's was a good selection of beer Service wasn't outstanding either, every was just... meh. Most dissapointing dish was this tuna tartare That dressing/sauce was closer to a broth of some sort? It added absolutelynth to the dish. Stopped in for lunch the other day and it was wonderful! Super attentive pleasant staff and the food was amazing. The power bowl... is my favourite! Firstly, I had no idea this was a brewery location. Probably wouldn't have chosen it had I known cos brewpubs aren't generally... known for good food. So, that may have been my mistake. Maybe coming here for beer and snacks is the better option, butconsidering so little in this city is open for breakfast, beggars can't be choosers ???????. Secondly, it smelled mildly likepee where we were sitting. I thought I was crazy at first but it lingered the entire time. I don't know if it was a child, dog,or adult that had an accident but it definitely affected my experience. The food was so incredibly bland. It wasn't cookedpoorly, it just had zero flavour. The avocado toast was literally just slices of avo and a few tomatoes and a bit of basil (Iasked for no cheese but that shouldn't affect it. Avo toast shouldn't have cheese! It's not some bad Italian food chainbruschetta. The chef seems very confused.) An 8-year-old could have put it together more creatively. No mayo, nothing to lendany flavour or cohesion whatsoever. The home fries... were totally immemorable. I was really hungry though so I suppose thecarbs did the job. Coffee tasted a bit burned. Crab cakes were also tasteless, dry, and overcooked. They looked burnt or the oilwas old, I don't know. And the portion sizes of everything are small (except you do get a fair amount of plain avocado, I guess)and look small on the giant white plates. The orange juice did not look or taste like fresh pressed. The best part was ourserver. She was fantastic and this place would have got a lower rating if not for her. I hope they give her all the raises sheasks for. She was the only good part of the whole experience.
