The wagu uni truffle uni bowl was everything for me. If you're a rice lover you have to try. The service in the restaurant is... exceptional. The only negative thing I can personally say about the restaurant is there is a lack of fun toppings, for examplethey don't have dumplings. However you definitely won't be disappointed in the quality of their meats and veggies. I love howthey have entry snacks. The complimentary ice cream at the end just ties in the entire experience. Expensive but worth the premium price. This is my first time trying out a premium hot pot place in the lower mainland, and I can... honestly say I had a good experience! We made reservations online for a group of 4 as this place gets really busy at night. Wewere given an iPad for the menu along with recommendations on popular items. We decided to try out their A5 wagyu stuff andother popular items like the shrimp pate. They also served us some fruit and made their in-house Dolar Shop sauce for us whichI thought was absolutely delicious. I usually stick with satay type of sauces in other places but the sauce they made was reallygood! I really enjoyed the quality of the meat especially their A5 wagyu which just melts in your mouth ????. The shrimp patewas also really good which tasted sort of like dim sum and their vegetables were fresh and the corn was amazingly sweet. Anotherthing I really liked was their unlimited edamame which apparently is dipped in wine. Also their unlimited peanuts were reallygood as well and had a premium taste to it...or maybe it was just a placebo effect ????. The wide arrangement of sauces wasexcellent! I got to try out different combinations of flavors to see what went well with the hot pot. I also really liked theatmosphere and décor of the place - it truly felt like a premium restaurant with the white marble and it made my friends feellike elites. At the end of our meal we were given some fancy black cone ice cream!???? Also before I end this review, here's atip: eat here after 9pm if you want to get 20% off your order. Overall, I enjoyed my expensive but premium experience herebecause aside from the quality of their food, the customer service here was excellent!???? I'm happy I was able to provide myfriends an elite experience by choosing to eat here. My wallet may have been drained that night but my memories have beenfilled with a memorable premium experience. Top notch quality and service make Dolar Shop a go-to for hot pot. The seafood was fresh and their house made sauce was... delicious! Highly recommend the noodles too. I found the restaurant to be clean, including the washrooms (which can't always besaid for some restaurants). The single serve hot pot set up is great because it limits the sharing, in a good way. I get my ownpersonal pot that I can adjust with a dial. Even the reservation process is easy to follow - type in your name and # and theytext you when your table is ready. My out of town guests found this place on Google. We all enjoyed the food. We loved having our own choice of hot pot soup. A... bonus there’s a elemnt to control the temperature. There are 5 types of broth to choose from. Our server was kind enough tolet a couple of us try the broth. We both ended up having the truffle mushroom broth & even got 3 slices of truffle. We lovedit. The others had the silver broth and hot & spicy broth. We all splurged and ordered the A5 Miyazaki Beef at $110 per plate!It was definitely a melt in your mouth taste that quickly melted your pocket book. Avoid the pancake with Waygu beef. Not sowowing for everyone. They offer a bit of everything in the meat selection including meat organs. Many of the veggie choiceswere limited. By having individual hot pots, it’ll suit every type of eater from the vegan to the carnivore. They also offeran open bar of condiments (chilli sauce, sesame seed oil, oyster oil, garlic, etc) and had one choice of vegetable – tomatoesand one choice of fresh fruit – cantaloupe for an extra $3.99. Don’t forget to ask for the ice cream cone at the end. Thedécor is very nice with great service. There are a few extra party rooms if you want to celebrate a special occasion. I wastold you it’ll cost $600 for 10 people including every hot pot item. It’s not your every day run of the mill dinner place asreflected in the prices.
