I have tried a lot of sushi restaurants, but let me tell you fighing fish was the best one I have tried so far. I loved their... rolls and their portions are huge. I couldn’t finish two rolls and an appetizer. We came relatively close to closing but servewas still very fast! Read more
YOU HAVE TO EAT HERE!! This place is so good. Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. Fantastic service and really great... people. Inside is super cool too! This is the place I recommend to everyone looking for good Japanese fish cuisine. Many other establishments have gone downhill... in quality, and it's a stark difference from the careful attention Fighting Fish puts towards their food. It's sad to say howmany other places neglect freshness. I don't want to mention how many times I've been let down by inedible meals in Richmond, sothis is a beacon of light. All the fish is extremely fresh and professionally prepared and selected. All the produce is in peakcondition - if you've ever been let down by hard mango bits or bruised avocados, you're in luck. And the service has always beenexcellent. I've had the Poke Bowl, warm sake, Chirashi, seared tuna appetizer, and sushi burrito all of which I highlyrecommend. Excellent-So glad we followed reviews. Great, fresh sushi. They provided a customized low carb for me - tuna, cucumber & seaweed... wrap. We got there early and also enjoyed rolls from the $5 Happy Hour menu. Service was top & the decor is on par with modernsushi restaurants. Highly recommending with 5 stars. Read more

This was our first time at this location (Our last visits had been to their smaller restaurant downtown). Lovely, subtly upscale... (candle light, fabric napkins, sparkly lights visible from the mirrors) with spots of humor. Happy hour specials from 5:00 to6:00 p.m. were tasty & perfect for 2 to share. Our family remembers Fighting Fish mostly because of their sushi burritos...& wewill continue coming for them! We were there for our 34th anniversary and were surprised that they brought us each mochi...yum!Parking: We were able to find a municipal lot 2 blocks away. Read more
