I can?t say enough good things about Lauren and the staff at Goodrich Gourmet! From the first tasting until the last minutes of... our daughter?s wedding reception, Lauren made sure everything was perfect. They even brought appetizers and cocktails to thewedding party during pictures! Our guests raved about the food, especially the smashed potatoes. The most disappointing and stressful part of my entire wedding experience. To start from the beginning, communication with... Goodrich has been an issue from the very first day that we signed our contract. We constantly had to send multiple emails inorder to get answers to simple questions, and we felt very uneasy from the start. Regardless of this, we tried our best to givethis company the benefit of the doubt, as we know that sometimes technological issues happen. As we got closer to our weddingday, I reached out multiple times to speak to a member of management about adding linen rentals to our contract. We werereassured multiple times that these linens would be added after our final walk-through at our venue. Once our final walk-throughoccurred, we asked for these rentals to be added multiple times with no response. I finally called my month of coordinator, whoknows this company very well, and she informed me that she had spoken to Goodrich earlier that morning and they stated that theywill in fact NOT be adding linen rentals to our contract, and that we never asked them to do so. After providing multiple e-mailchains that proved that they had stated all along that they would be providing these rentals, Goodrich finally stopped arguingand offered to add them to our contract. This all was occurring less than 2 weeks before our wedding and added an immense amountof stress to our lives. I wish that I could say that this is where this review ends, but sadly it became much worse on ouractual wedding day. As cocktail hour is going on, and my husband and I are privately trying to enjoy a few moments toourselves, we had multiple guests come to us to complain that Goodrich was serving our passed hors d'oeuvres with no silverwareor toothpicks. They did an OUTSTANDING job at our wedding. We worked with the lead coordinator, Layla. They were prompt, and orderly. The food... was amazing and very fresh. They allow you to do a food tasting and take extras with you. They also provide a to-go ?picnicbasket? after the reception for you to enjoy more of the food you ordered. We had the shrimp cocktail, meatballs, roastedpotatoes, Tuscan chicken, seafood linguine pasta. They provided rolls, drinks, linen, plates and silverware. Everyone ravedabout the food. I recently experienced this company as a vendor who worked with them at a wedding. Though the staff at the event were all... pleasant, the treatment of other vendors specifically as it pertains to our meals, was appalling. I was first told that I couldnot be accommodated for my dietary restrictions as whomever placed the order with them did not tell them in time that I wasgluten free and pescatarian, though the order (and conversation about the order) was weeks before the event. Secondly, thebride and groom told us my company could eat off the buffet when meal time came, but we were told we would get a vendor boxinstead and mine would like have Mac and cheese and meat. As I was starving, I ate a bite of the Mac and cheese and it was notpalatable. Truly disgusting Mac and cheese that I risked stomach pain and bloating for.
