Nice hotel in friendly staff. This is an older hotel that has been renovated but still has a nice refresh. The lobby is great to... hang out for breakfast and the bar. They offer valet parking and for a good reason. You would not want to park on the streetsin this area. Lots of sketchy people standing around telling you how pretty your car is.... The valet will park your car underthe hotel. Read more

They?ve spared no expense at Graduate Richmond. The rooms are so cute, creativity decorated, and spacious. Plenty of places to... spread out and enjoy alone time in the room or mix and mingle with other guests at the cafe/bar in the lobby or the rooftop bar.The one fatal flaw of the hotel is arguably the most important part of any hotel: the bed. What a sad, uncomfortable experiencesleeping here was. The mattress was cheap and uncomfortable. The sheets have to be 200 thread count. It?s like covering the bedin paper mache. We had the sheets changed during our stay and every set was stained. They don?t believe in mattress covers atGraduate, so don?t count on the highest quality. The pillows should be burned. Several sizes of pillows were provided but not asingle one of them was stuffed properly and at no point were they comfortable. They desperately need to address the comfort ofthe beds with the focus they devoted to every other aspect of the hotel. Read more

Great experience, great vibe as well, the rooms are styled different and it's definitely an aesthetic. The rooftop bar was... beautiful and the view above the pool area was amazing as well. Only reason I gave a 4 star was because the sink had a couplelong brown hairs in it, and seeing as how I did the big chop, it couldn't mine. And also the downstairs cafe was supposed toopen at 6 so I thought I was going to be able to grab a drink and go to work by 6:30 but it took very long for it to open so by6:15 I had to just leave. We checked into Graduate Richmond on 8/4/22 to attend a Conference. Upon checking in and arriving to the room, we knew it was... not going to be the greatest experience. The carpet was filthy, the shower curtain had stains and the room just looked old anddated. We cleaned the room ourselves because it appears as if housekeeping was lacking. All of the furniture in the room wascompletely dated and it was just dusty. The building appeared completely dated. We figured we would be there for only 3 nights,so we attempted to make the best of it. Our party had headaches after the first nights stay which leads us to 8/5/22. Our partyhad headaches all day long. When we returned to our room the night of 8/5/22, our carpet was completely wet. We all woke upagain on 8/6/22 with headaches and it was just unbearable the night of 8/7/22, so we called the front desk to inform Nicole thatsomeone in our party was really sick and we needed to check out a day early. Nicole?s response was that we would still beresponsible for the cost of the stay. No offer to solve the issue, switch rooms or anything. So we loaded up and went downstairsto check out. I asked Nicole if there was an issue with mold in the hotel and she then stated that she would send an engineer upto our room to inspect. It was only after I mentioned mold, Nicole mentioned possibly finding a replacement room disregarding aperson in our party was really sick. Nicole mentioned that someone would be in touch? Please be mindful of some of these issuesmentioned before booking here. The hotel hallways are not clean, the carpet is in need of replacement and it smells bad. As ofthis time, no resolve. The reception at first arrival was great. The person checking us in was friendly, informative and kind. The lobby was clean... and the place was inviting. The room was spacious and well decorated. From there, the stay was mediocre at best. There wasno daily maid service, which would be ok, but when we asked for towels to be replaced, twice, we had to personally go down tothe desk to get them. The pool on the rooftop had at most, 6 lounge chairs, several of which were broken. The water wascloudy, and not well skimmed for bugs. The inside of the pool also needed a decent scrubbing. The valet parking in the frontwas understaffed, which caused a backup into traffic while entering. The hotel overall has great potential, but needs somemore attention to details. Read more
