Today was my first visit to Kanpai and I really enjoyed the experience. I was pleased with the space and the atmosphere, but... Chef Matthew made every effort to ensure the visit remained pleasant with his attentive and through energy. The shrimp andscallops were cooked and seasoned well, and I loved the veggies. The service was wonderful. Only downer is there wasn't a TV in the far back room we sat in. Not a deal breaker Sunday football... was on. Would have been nice to see a few plays. Over all the food and service was good. Read more
Everything about Kanpai was amazing. The restaurant is very clean, the service was excellent, and the food and show was perfect.... My daughters had the steak, my wife and I had the filet and chicken. The salad and soup are so good, and all the food wasperfectly cooked and seasoned. I will definitely be back. Went for a surprise birthday party. The salad nor the soup were the best but everyone enjoyed their entrees. Steak, chicken and... scallops were wonderful, shrimp were alright. Loved our chef and waitress. Woman at front could be a little better at speakingto customers. All in all we had a great time. I use to enjoy coming here but my last experiences have been horrible. This is not a cheap meal by far so I feel as though we... should have the option to take out veggies you are allergic to or don?t eat. The veggie medley comes with 4 different veggies.They will not allow you to take out a veggie. You either only get 1 veggie or all. I?m allergic to peppers so instead of havingthe peppers removed, I had only get onions. A plate full of onions and rice oh tasty for $35+. Our chef was so sweet (Matthew).Sever was blah. Nothing special. To top it off, we were celebrating my mother in law birthday and brought a cake. No one told uswe couldn?t bring a cake (I called and asked). At the end, we ask for plates and forks so our family could enjoy the birthdaycake. Our server handed us only forks. When we asked for the plates she said let me go check. She came back and said no outsidefood. The cake was sitting on the table the entire dinner and was never informed ?no outside food?. Very disappointing. So weall left with a full cake that none of our guest could enjoy. This is not a cheap dinner so I would expect better customerservice. Would NOT recommend! Read more
