Came from Charlottesville.. worth the drive.. Had the vegan chick'n drummies, vegan Mac n cheese, collard green, sweet potato,... vegan crab cakes, okra, cabbage, sweet potato cheese cake.. you just wait to you bite the vegan chick'n.."WOW" and that Mac andcheese just know it's not dry.. think creamy!! Best vegan food I've ever had. Their mac n' cheese is far superior to any others I've tried (to compare, I went to Bookbinders... last week and got their lobster mac. Paid $15+ and still not as good as NuVegan). Don't get me started on the chick'n drummies.Best tip is to go during rush hour to increase your chances of getting them fresh out of the fryer - soooo good. You won't evenneed sauce to dunk them in. Some of the best food I?ve ever had, period. So delicious I ate 2 servings and still went home and ate more, I couldn?t stop.... Had a wonderful time in the fun atmosphere of the shop and chatting with the workers and some customers as well. Mac n cheeseand drummers were to die for. Also, the seafood pasta salad is amazing. First I'd like to say, thank you for the vegan option in Richmond. Apart from that, I don't have anything good to say about this... place. I love supporting vegan establishments all over the US. Unfortunately, this is one of the worst. When I've visited othervegan places I usually get a kind welcome vibe. Not here. Not very friendly. Not rude but not friendly. I ordered a cinnamonroll. Looks really good. Hard as a rock. If you get this, check it for freshness before you leave. The cinnamon roll may havebeen good maybe 2 weeks ago. The country fried steak was terribly rough and dry. The plastic fork barely did the job. And therewas NO GRAVY! Never had country fried steak without a gravy. 2 big blocks of seitan. See pictures for presentation. Couldn'teven bare to eat a bite without some Mac n cheese. Which best thing was the man, but it was not very good. The BBQ ribs was also2 big blocks of seitan swimming in BBQ sauce. All that BBQ sauce and seitan was still dry as Lake Meade. I had to return it, asit was served cold and also dry and hard. I really wish things could have been different here as the menu looks like it packs apunch but is actually a slap to the face.
