1st time coming here for a family get together midday lunch. Very attractive exterior and interior, plenty of room, live music... Fri and Sat nights. We shared an app called southern popcorn. It was fried okra with dip and it was great. I ordered a shrimpdish that was different, it actually was an app that served as a meal. Shrimp sauteed in a butter beer sauce with choppedpeppers and onions and crusty bread to soak up the juice. It was very good but I probably wouldn't get it again. Server wasfriendly and patient and looked like the only one serving a big lunch crowd. They had a large party going on in a private room so it took kind of long understandably for the app to concert out. I was... really excited about the crab and artichoke spinach dip. It was ok, you can tell it had been microwaved to heat up. But thechips were hot. The crab cake I ordered was fairly good. Deep fried and slightly greasy. Service was excellent! First time eating here. I ordered the fried flounder & shrimp basket comes with one side and tarter sauce.( $15.45) I added... coleslaw. ($2.25) it was a nice serving for the price . Bubba's Bistro is located along US 17 in Richmond Hill, just east of the interchange with Interstate 95 at exit 87. Heading... east, it will be on the right side of the road. My visit here was for dinner on August 23, 2022. The outside is no frills, butit is still a solid place. There is a sign you can see from the street on Hwy 17. Once parked, they have an area with theirname on the building as well as a bench and some chairs outside. On the sides of the entrance to the door you will find awelcome sign and the hours of operation. We got here around 4:30 pm, so it wasn't too busy at the time. Once you come inside,you can see the bar in front of you. We were immediately seated at a table and the one who seated us was also our server forthe visit. She gave us some menus and asked what we wanted to have to drink. For those that drink soda, they have Cokeproducts. My mom got some iced tea while I stuck with water. After taking a little while going back and forth on what tochoose on the menu, I ended up going with the Mix and Match Fried Chicken with a Breast and Leg. I got to choose two sides, soI went with the fries and macaroni and cheese. My mom decided to go with the Fried Shrimp with one side, choosing fries as theside. After about five to ten minutes, our orders came to the table. Everything looked good and it was very hot. My mom askedfor some cocktail sauce for the shrimp. She brought the cocktail sauce over. My mom said it was hardly a cocktail sauce, butalmost just ketchup instead, which she already had for the fries. The Fried Chicken came out as ordered and was also very hot. I did like the fact that it wasn't greasy either. I started on some of the fries first before devouring the chicken so it couldcool down a bit.
