Their food quality is mostly decent. Some of their fried stuff like the fried chicken and the fried oysters have too much... batter and the batter is overcooked, so it's too hard to bite on. Their mussels dish is very good if you get the chef's sauce (Ilike it mild). The staff are nice and friendly but sometimes they're short staffed. Nice atmosphere but the cooling system insummer can't quite handle the space. Overall an improvement for Ridgecrest options. Read more

This is hard. Ale's crabhouse is easily the best fish in town, and Ale's steakhouse is one of the best places to eat in town as... well. The environment is great, with plenty of room and a great atmosphere. But we were underwhelmed with a number of details.The Sea bass portion was much smaller (though still quite good) than it was the last time I had it. The breading on fried foodswas heavy. The steak fries weren't crisp. I didn't know it was possible, but there was actually way too much blue cheese on ourwedge salads. Service seemed a little disorganized, but was attentive. Overall, of course we'll go back, but I hope theycontinue to improve on the details of service. Read more
