Outstanding Mexican restaurant. They go toe to toe with La Regia in Iowa City, and ultimately edge them out. First the food is... high quality. Order the Mexican carne assada tacos and you will see what I mean. Second, the most important quality is theiremployees. I am always greeted with a smile and prompt service. If you ask they will bring out some super hot orange sauce tocut the normal salsa with. It adds the right amount of heat for those who like it a bit spicy. The ambiance is interesting andthe place has vaulted ceilings. It is apparent that the people who run the place take pride in their business. Nice little stop. Found as we were passing through town after anothe day on the road. Chilled out with a raspberry margarita and... a burrito. Waitess was new to waitressing, first day if I under her correctly. She handled our orders flawlessly. Woulddefinitely recommend. La Chiva Loka is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants to enjoy some of the best Mexican dishes in the area. Service is... friendly and for the most part prompt. They serve a unique variety of dishes that are always warm and tasteful to everyone'spalate. Acoustics are the only downside but if you're in a group you'll never notice. I highly recommend enjoying eating at thisrestaurant for a great Mexican delight!!! Read more
