I was blown away by the number of options on the vegan menu, and the food is delicious! The staff is incredibly thoughtful and... kind, and the environment is friendly and enjoyable. I wish I lived closer; I would come here all the time! Don't miss out ifyou're in the area. Read more

Driving through this little Tennessee town, we knew we had to stop for lunch. I happened to look online to see what we might be... looking for as a good place to eat. Bob?s Dairyland popped up. We thought we would give it a shot. We were pleasantly surprisedbecause on the outside, this town doesn?t look like it has much to offer. Inside, we checked in at the front counter and placedour order. My husband was excited about the barbecue options and I was excited about the small cheeseburger. The fries wereoutstanding. Generally I can?t eat many fries but I couldn?t stop eating these. My husband said that the hush puppies had to bethe crowning glory. The owner is just as nice and friendly as he can be and the service was excellent. Thanks. Read more

Most unpleasant meal and experience ever. I grew up in East Tennessee and my family owns multiple properties in Roan Mountain,... including the Bed and Breakfast. I have ate at Bob's Dairyland since I was a small child and it was always a GREAT meal. So, Ibrag on what a great meal me and my date would have here. Sure we could go to a fancy restaurant and get good burgers and friesfor $26.42 plus tip but I wanted to share my wonderful childhood experience. Go in, order him a large cheeseburger, large fryand large Pepsi; I order a small cheeseburger, small fry and Coleslaw and a large Diet Pepsi. Good so far ... total $26.42. Wow, Bob's has gone up but wait until you see and taste this burger I say. Our meal is brought to the table -- 2 burgers wrappedin paper, appear identical in size and a small fry. I said "we are missing a large fry and an order of coleslaw". She proceedsto argue that's what was on my ticket. Eventually she says she would get the missing items. She returns the with a large fryand a plastic cup of Coleslaw the size of a shot glass. We had noticed both burgers were very small, one contained a hand pattyand a bigger Bun twice its size. The other fit the bun and was the 3.5 oz patty I had requested but was a frozen patty. We askabout the burger that should be larger being so small and the lady delivering our food (for a $4,00 tip) said "don't get on me,I didn't make it. My date politely ask the women at the front (owner) which burger was which given the "larger burger" was somuch smaller (and burnt) than what we were told was the smaller burger. She said "maybe that burger contained more fat". Shedid give me the correct size of coleslaw. My date returns to the table and I embarrassingly apologize. I should add, 2 peoplecame in for ice cream but there was only one other coule dining in the restaurant so not like it was "rush hour". Guess mychildhood memories of Bob's Dairyland are just that .... only memories. Advice: Sav Read more

I come here weekly, sometimes more. The secret here is the owner is actually a plant-based chef. Now don?t let that scare you,... the burgers and shakes are still great. However, if you?re trying to watch your blood pressure and blood sugar like I was, thenask for the plant-based menu. But as I said, if you just want a normal red-blooded American breakfast or burger, they?ve gotthat too. Huge fluffy biscuits. Thick gravy. Loaded hash browns. Great stuff! A diamond in this local area. Read more

Nice place. Decent food. A bit pricey! $7 for a thin bbq sandwich w/no sides and over $5 for an iced cream. Convenient on a... ride! We'll probably go back. (Thanks for the response! I think that you're right. That's a lot of tax!) Read more
