Great for a casual night out with a few friends (or even eating alone at the bar watching a game). We arrived around 7:30-ish... and the place was about 1/2 or 2/3 full - no wait for a booth for 4. Standard pub-type fare, my favorites were the blackenedhaddock (fresh & perfectly crisped) and the coleslaw was amazing (chopped up & nicely spiced, not too sweet nor was it drowningin mayo) The sauteed mushrooms are "the usual" must have for my friends. A decent selection of interesting cocktails, beer andwine. I was very pleased with the house cabernet (you'll need to ask for the wine/beer list). Service was great which reallysays a lot about the management. Friendly and attentive but left us to enjoy ourselves, not trying to be a comedian or interruptour conversation. I would definitely come back, maybe earlier in the day to walk around the surrounding charming shops. Read more

The place is beautiful. I'll give it that. It is a bit expensive for what you get in my opinion. The food is pretty good. But be... careful because they do use a lot of butter. Also, I hope you like your mixed drinks strong. Holy smokes! I felt so bad becauseI could tell the waitress was really proud... But I could not finish it. ???? It tasted like straight up gasoline. I'd bewilling to give them a second try but, I will not be getting anymore drinks from here... Yikes. Read more
