Our chef (shamrock knife belt!) was one of the BEST shows we have ever had at this kind of restaurant! He was funny and very... skilled! The food he cooked to order was delicious and we left full with leftovers to spare! Make a night of it and enjoy! Read more

When you want the best in Japanese cuisine, you come here. Yes it's expensive. Yes it's corney jokes from a table side chef. Yes... they do the onion trick with fire ???? Yes they still toss the shrimp to you. Yes the service was excellent, as always. Finally,Yes it was immaculate & clean! Nothing has changed, it's still the place its always been. Truly authentic Japanese food. We did not experience the hibachi side. We enjoyed the quieter menu side w/view of the koi pond... and Japanese maples. Our waitstaff on both occasions was efficient and friendly. The table- clean. The food- lovely! Thetempura was particularly good and reminiscent of Japan style. Read more

I had checked the reviews on here before I came in to eat with my family and thought the experience would be good unfortunately,... my family and I did not have a good experience here. When we first came in I believe it was the manager he was unwelcoming but Ifigured maybe it?s been a stressful night. Then we were seated and our waiter was extremely rude not only to us but the otherpeople of color. I noticed he treated the white families different than us colored people. The cook was great no complaintsthere but the waiter kept on harassing us the entire time and complained about one of us wanting sweet tea instead of water.Then when it was time to get our checks he made a comment saying, ?of course y?all finished all the food? is that not what wecame to this place for? This isn?t even half of what he did throughout the time we were there. He didn?t tell us his name but hehas short blonde prickly hair and green tattoos. If you get this server I suggest you ask for another one! I wouldn?t recommendthis place for people of color. They are not welcoming towards anyone who isn?t white. Read more
