I love that HyVee has many in store 'food to go' options, whether its prepackaged cold or hot n ready to eat from a 'mall-like... food Court' restaurant. The convenience is a really nice option to have, if my budget allows. I also enjoy their meat dept. Theyoffer many fresh meat options. Such as top sirloin, approx 6 or 7 different flavored stuffed chicken breasts, smoked bacon,fresh ground sirloin...too many options to remember off the top of my head n everything Ive ever bought has been excellent. Thebakery dept is MASSIVE n I often have a difficult time deciding on what I'm gonna indulge in next! I'd say that the only thing IREALLY REALLY don't like about this HyVee store is the layout of the aisles and placement of items. To me, it ALWAYS seems asthough I'm doing a bunch of zigzagging and therefore it ends up costing me more of my time. I realize that they most likely dothis as a sale tactic, to get us, the consumers to buy more items from them. I find it very nerve wracking, especially when Ihave my 7yr old and 1yr old with me all of the time n they start to lose their patience with it all as well. Frustrating. And IDO use this as one of my main reasons for sticking with Cub Foods. I will only go to Hyvee once every six months or so becauseTHAT IS HOW MUCH THE STORE LAYOUT IRRITATES ME AND DELAYS ME. I can be in and then out of Cub within 2hrs if I'm doing my once amonth, huge, stock up run. HyVee?! My kids and I would probably end up needing to spend the night! ???? Read more
Way overpriced for regular groceries you can get anywhere. Sale items almost always ring up at full price. Hy-Vee policy says... you get the item free if it rings up wrong. Went to the service desk for this and the lady was super rude and said "we don'treally do that here". This was after standing there FOREVER before she even acknowledged my presence. She was too busy chattingwith other employees and the security guard. It's the closest grocery store to my house but I will drive past it every time togo somewhere else. Read more
I am from Iowa and the Hy-Vees are not near this fancy! I love all the different departments and the variety of food options. I... only went in for Starbucks which was great, but I wish our family had gone there for lunch! Read more
I grew up loving Hy-Vee in South Dakota. While similar it doesn't have the same service first feeling that I've grown used to,... and I really dislike the half length isles especially in a shorter store. That being said it is a bright clean store, and pricesare ok. All things being equal I find the near by Cub a better value with better store hours. Read more

Security followed me around, even when i was doing absolutly nothing to warrant being watched like that.... I felt offended... actually. At the gas station cashier actually called policce on me and said i was being asked to leave a wouldnt . Truth betold, i spent 35.00 bucks in that gas station abd i was waiting on my ride.
