Delicious food, a frequent repeat customer. The change in ownership doesn’t seem to have affected the quality of the food.... However, the service was slow and chaotic, which I put down to short staffing - which seems to be a problem in every restaurantaround town these days. Read more
Had a bad experience the first time - went to dine in an hour before closing time. Asked for a table but was made to sit at the... bar. Placed my order. No one offered water or anything else. My food came all packed for a take away. I informed them I wasvisiting Rochester and my hotel room didn't have any cutlery or the right space to dine and so I was planning on eating at therestaurant but was asked to leave since they had already packed it. When I requested for a spoon n a fork, they reluctantly gaveme some. They weren't able to print me a receipt and wanted me to provide phone / email if I wanted an electroniccopy. Thankfully the food was good and they were close to my hotel so I decided to give them another chance. 2 days later time Iwalk in around 6 pm and the place was empty. There's no one there in the restaurant area, someone finally comes from the back /kitchen after I loudly said hello a few times, meanwhile another couple arrives and waits behind me wondering what's going on.Again I was asked to sit at the bar which I politely declined. I was barely halfway through my meal before the server dropped abill on my table. I wanted a dessert but at this point I was just done with them. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, chicken curry. I ordered from this restaurant 25 years ago and the curry flavor was really good... but felt the chicken was dry. Not this time, chicken was delicious and the curry sauce was just the way I like it. I gotmedium hot. I ordered take away for my husband that’s how good it was. The service was very professional. December 2022: I have started meal (tiffin) services from them. They make healthy and affordable meals. The nutrition content is... good. Old: I was there for Saturday's South Indian thali special.
