I do like Campi's, home of The Bomber Sandwich, which is huge BTW. I admit that I can put away a garbage plate but I had to wrap... that Bomber up for a snack later. Well worth the visit if you like local flavor or are from out of town and want to try ahomegrown restaurant. They were also featured on the Travel Channel not to long ago. Read more
When we lived a few blocks away on Genesee St in the early 1970's, this place was Da Bomb and we ate there all the time. It was... truly the best steak sandwich in Rochester (although Mr Cee's Sub Shop on Ridge Rd near Hollenbeck was very good too.) So whenwe returned for the first time after moving away 45 years ago, we were looking forward to going there and hoping that it wasstill the best. Unfortunately, our experience did not compare to our memory. The steak was just OK. It was dry and not at allas flavorful as it used to be. While that might just be a matter of taste, there was no excuse for the run down condition of thedining area, which looks like its been neglected for years. There was also a strong smell of mold/mildew that made eating therevery unplesant. We left very disappointed. Read more
I drove all the way there just to find out that they require you to wear a mask inside. There is no way to get service outside.... It is almost October 2022. Maybe this review will help someone else not waste their time like mine was. Read more
The food is awful. The bread was soggy, not enough mayonnaise. Onions we're too chunky, tomatoes were too thick, not enough... cheese, and the price I paid for this Bomber was ridiculous -$16. I'll never go back there again Read more
