Outstanding, authentic British cuisine. The bangers and mash are without equal. High quality Cumberland sausage and their gravy... is perfect. Best stuff this side of the pond! Read more

I came here a long time ago when I was younger. Took my wife here for the first time today and it is a far cry from what it used... to be. Warm beer. 20 min just to get loaded fries. The only reason I gave 2 stars and not 1 was because the waitresses/bartender did their best to keep up. But they were horribly understaffed. Also, aren't they supposed to have British culinarystudents run this place? Read more

I was apprehensive about a real English fish and chips. Today for the first time in Rochester I?ve enjoyed fish and chips that... reminded me of home. Thank you for the experience. My only regret is that I only ordered 1. The meal was amazing and so was theservice. Read more

Haven't been here in years. Came for some fish and chips and boy what a let down. Got like 5 fries and like half a fish. My... drink was warm. I know that the Brits have their drinks at room temp but damn I didn't think they would be that authentic. Theplace is quaint and charming but the food and drink, on this visit, left a lot to be desired. Read more

I have been here numerous times before but not since Covid. We went on a Friday evening for dinner and were shocked to see only... a handful of customers at prime dinner time 7pm. We were greeted by the bar tender and someone came out in a minute or so toseat us. The menu is online only, we found out, but we had our phones so that was no problem. But, our internet search did nottake us to the correct menu right away. Our server had to help us locate the current menu. This was a big deal since thecurrent menu is very limited with only a handful of items. So since it was Friday we opted for the fish fry with mushy peas.Yum! We got the large for $18 which wasn't very large at all. When I get a fish fry other places, I can never finish it andsave half for next day. Not the case this time. It was okay tasting but nothing special or striking. I will add that theamount of chips (French fries) was also incredibly small. Disappointing that we paid a good price for a small and sad meal. Idon't know if Covid is to blame for this or not but I will think twice before coming again. Read more
