Secret Shopper Review: If I could give this place a negative star for poor service I would. If you are ordering "To Go" and use... to your food being ready at time of arrival do not expect that service at this establishment. The only reason I gave thisbusiness a 1 Star is because of the server and the cashier. I watched the server clean tables and coordinate between new tables.Her service alone I would rate as a 5. If you are dining in you will be in good hands with her. The cashier does a good jobmanaging customers. I gave her an attitude to see how she would deviate and I would give a 5 star for how she remained calm andprovided assurance. Now, here is the Con: When asked why the food takes so long I was advised because the kitchen does notstart making the food until you arrive. Typically how "To Go" food works you order and expect your food to be done with areasonable amount of time. I placed an order at 7:00pm and arrived at this business at 8:49pm. The kitchen JUST STARTED makingto go orders. I am unclear as to the purpose of making any customer wait over 2 hours but it's a terrible strategy to keepreturning customers and really to earn more revenue in general. If an order is placed and is complete a phone call should begiven to the customer to advise this, not just waiting until they arrive to make there wait longer. Keep in mind there was lessthen 7 people dining in. Unfortunately, I am not sure who owns this business (as of yet) but they should probably stop in andcheck on there kitchen staff or hire better ones who value customers. There was guy who sat at the booth upon entering who Iassumed went in the back to help but upon watching him he went in the back to talk on the phone. Sad part about this is the foodis good but we live in a day and age where if the customer doesn't feel valued for time or money then the money will not begiven. It was sort of crowded when we went (Saturday evening) so I didn't get any photos but boy, oh boy was the food here good. Even... though they were busy service was good and the portion size was good as well. I ordered the king crab boil and king crab goes bymarket price and now the market price is high (as with everything else) so I can't really comment on cost since I probablyordered their most expensive dish. I can tell you that they weigh the crab out and then come and show you what a pound lookslike to get your approval before they cook it. I never been to a place that did that before and thought that was great so Icould add or change my mind if I didn't think it was enough to fill me. While waiting for the food which was quicker than Ithought it was going to be they brought out hush puppies to snack on. My husband ordered crab cakes and raved about them. Firey Crab was recommended for us to try this place. This place wasn't busy went we can in. It was raining hard outside and it... was a cold day. We got seated really and our waitress was really friendly. We had 5 of us dining in. We ordered Fried Pickles,Shrimp Fried Rice, Fried Jumbo Shrimp Basket, Fried Flounder Baskets, 2 Orders Hard Boiled Eggs, and Snow Crab Legs mixedSeasoning mild. The Fried Pickles, Fried Shrimp, Eggs, and Crab Legs was really good. The Fried fish was okay. What really wasa waste was the shrimp fried rice. That was disappointing! The rice was so hard. I always order delivery but today.Seafood not as fresh today crab legs were soft overcooked. Food was too salty..Server was... inexperienced and extra slow. Not a good impression for dining in this day. Just terrible today. Read more
