I've been going to Wingbonz since it was Wing King. My wife normally loves the place. On Saturday night of 6/18/2022, we decided... to go to Wingbonz for our usual fried pickles, beer, and tenders and wings. Anytime I've ordered wings, they have always beengrilled without having to specify. We sat down, and ordered our fried pickles. When they came out, they had about 3 times thenormal amount of breading on them, to the point that you couldn't taste the pickle. Also the fact that the breading tasted likethere was more salt than flour. Then the server came to take our food order. I ordered 10 traditional wings, half salt andvinegar, half teriyaki. The server then asks if I wanted fried or grilled, to which I responded grilled. What came out wasneither teriyaki or salt and vinegar. The teriyaki wings tasted like they mixed soy sauce with a pound of salt. Suffice to say Ionly got one wing down before trying to wash away the taste. The salt and vinegar wings were a different story altogether. Notonly did I ask for grilled, but these wings came out fried, with one shake of seasoning on them. I thought to myself, "lets justat least try it". Getting through the amount of breading on them made KFC's extra crispy, look like nothing. The sensation ofthe ocean flooding into your mouth is the only way I can describe the chicken and the breading. Don't get me wrong, I don'texpect 5 star quality dinning when I go to Wingbonz, but what I had that night, left a little to much salt for my taste, (no punintended). Even my wife was highly unsatisfied with the whole experience. Suffice to say, we won't be going back to the joint.It has never been what it once was, so it is time to find a new chicken joint. Delicious! We were in Rock Hill visiting family & were trying to find a place for 8 people. I forgot our servers name (I?M... SORRY), but he was great! Fried pickle spears, onion rings, and a bunch of wings. Everything came out on point. Couldn?t haveasked for anything more. Pricing was nothing to complain about. We are from Florida and were so happy to see chicken wings at areasonable price. Definitely try the Ming Wings if they have them available.
