Love this location!! Bar staff is always quick and friendly. I take my mother any chance I get and they always remember how she... likes her drink. I’ve been to several Mi Cocina’s but this was my first time to Rockwall’s location. I would say it was average, not bad at... all but certainly not something I’d brag about. Waiter was friendly and attentive. Food was decent, fair. Overall atmospherewas welcoming, restaurant was clean. Food was very good, service was excellent, atmosphere was pleasant, and so much food I was still full the next morning. I got... the plate titled Deluxe 57, which I couldn't even finish while splitting it, and not only was it very good, it was a beautifullylaid out plate. Read more
Service was good. Restaurant was clean. Food not flavorful- bland. Queso tastes like cream of something soup…. Tiny bowls of... salsa. Fish tacos were off- soggy wet fish, raw veggies and raw corn tortillas. Strange. Rice was good, charro beans were goodalso. The hottest sauce they have is just blended chilis- maybe it’s a tex mex thing. Just thought the whole meal was off andfor lunch (for 2) the hefty price tag of 62.00 (with tip) was a little steep. Last Saturday, my family and I had the best time at Mi Cocina. Our server X was amazing! We LOVE that the restaurant offers... vegan options. X was able to offer us a veganized enchilada option (It should be added to the vegan menu) and he knew exactlywhat we wanted and executed it perfectly. The food looked good and it was delicious. X was very professional, attentive and madeus feel very welcomed. Mi Cocina is lucky to have someone as special as X part of their team. We can't wait to go back andhopefully have X assist us again.
