Hands down some of the best catfish I've had and worth every penny! The owner and her mother and staff are super friendly and... very sweet. Everything is cooked to order. Even my daughter that doesn't prefer fish devoured the catfish! The banana puddingwas a hit as well. Read more
Very disappointed. Food was nothing like we recall. Fish tasted cheap , over frozen or just not catfish. Our Mac n cheese was... reheated in the microwave, over heated and burned to the side of the container. You cannot tell me these are not canned greens.Glory, Martha ?. Somebody. I agree the banana pudding taste boxed as well. I cook and I can tell. I did call and ask and wastold maybe my taste buds was off today! Lol. Bring back the old Z?s please . Wasn't what I expected for the portions and the price I payed. My simple order: "3pc fillet meal - mild." At least There could... have been at least homemade tarter sauce and I thought a meal consisted of sides with a drink.... My fish portion was probably1pc of fish cut in 3 strips fried rubbery, didn't taste the "mild" at all unless that's "the new word for SALTY" the fries wereover cooked crispy crunchy. Overall food was pretty good. This place is nestled in a small shopping center in Downtown Rockwall. I went today(Sunday) about... noon so line wasn't bad at all. Catfish was pretty good but the portion of shrimp I got for 10.00 could have been more than 5small shrimp. Cornbread, Mac n cheese and greens was really good however. My only complaint, which is easily fixable and asuggestion to owner is this: Since this is primarily a catfish restaurant, it would be much better to serve real tartar sauceand not packets. You can give a standard 1 ounce and then charge for extra to recoup your costs. You can even add your own flairto it like have a spicy sauce and regular. I have frequented plenty of Catfish spots and it does make a difference. Read more
