Great wine, great service, great view, and no attitude. A must stop when in the wine country around this area.

Have you been looking for a vineyard that will discourteously ask you to leave for drinking their wine, on their property,... within their operating hours, moments after purchasing the bottle from them including a nice tip? Look no further, PiccioneVineyards is the winery for you. We came to Piccione on Saturday (9/24) for wine and a nice view to wrap up our short vacation.We went inside and purchased one of their white wines to bring outside to join our friends who were also respectfully enjoyingtheir wines. Within 5 minutes our joy came to a halt via turbulent demands to leave the premises as if we had rolled theirbarrels down the hill. Here you will be shown true impudent treatment towards guests, particularly from a brunette lady workingthe counter inside. The vineyards and view were beautiful but that?s where the good part of it ends. We got two flights which included a tasting of... each one of their 8 wines. I?m sorry, but none of the wines had any flavor. In my opinion one had a taste similar to the smellof rubbing alcohol. We were invited to go up to the pavilion to enjoy our wine and lunch. There were about 20 other people thereand a huge gust of wind with rain rolled in. In an effort to conceal ourselves and remain under cover, we extended the plasticcovers that were attached to the pavilion to protect ourselves. Everyone there was happy to remain there, dry and protected fromthe wind. An individual who appeared to be the owner or of some influence within the company, came over and scolded the entiregroup for shielding themselves from the harsh weather and bundled up the plastic exposing the customers to the weather.Fortunately, the rain had subsided by this time. There are two things that will break a company: One: Quality of product. Two:Customer service. Unfortunately, this winery gets a zero on both of these benchmarks. The scenery is beautiful. You get an amazing view of the Blueridge Mountains here. This is a family and dog friendly winery... which I appreciate because some places are not. I didn?t drink but my husband did and he said the wine was very good. We?lldefinitely be back. Read more

This is a great winery, my wife have visited the winery next door several times. On this trip we found that they would not... allow us to even be on the property, because we had our 8 year old daughter with us. They have a new policy that anyone under21 is not allowed on the property, which to me is total BS! When we were turned away we decided to go next door to Piccione,which was fabulous, they love kids and dogs as well!
