Let me just say it's always a pleasure sitting in an old fashioned diner. At night it even has a bit of an isolated feel because... you can't hear anything outside and the glass is slightly tinted. The girls there were nice. I was seated quickly and theservice was great. It was quiet, the music wasn't too loud, and the atmosphere was calming. For once I could enjoy a mealwithout the noise of most of your modern restaurants. The menu was simple, and there's no alcohol. It's as traditional as theycome. Nostalgia at its finest. This was the quintessential 50s diner experience! We walked in the door and we're immediately transported to an earlier time.... The counter stools and red vinyl booths were so fun and nostalgic. We went here on a Sunday morning as all of the places in townwere closed and we were not disappointed! This place ran like a well oiled machine! Our server got us our drinks and took ourorders promptly and we saw him running the front of house with a friendly smile and efficient process. Our food came out quicklyand piping hot! The tots & bacon were crispy, the veggies in the omelets were fresh and the portions were generous. We always stop here when we're in the area - usually for breakfast. The French toast is great and home fries. My daughter loves... the big chocolate chip pancake. Great coffee. They have started accepting credit cards (not AMEX). Read more
AWESOME FOOD!! The omelette was delicious and we shared a Hubcap pancake that was about 12 inches across! The cream chip beef... was also very flavorful and the homefries were cooked to crispy perfection. Clean bathrooms, clean environment, and veryfriendly staff. Pricing was also very good, this enormous pancake, that could feed two people, was only 4.99! Must visit! Read more
