What I received is absolutely not right. I was a loyal customer until now. For $16 I received oxtail and goat meat and only 5... pieces of meat in total! The meat market sells a pound for $9.99 in the area. You guys have lost me as a customer all together. Read more
Had the curry shrimp, red rice and beans and candied yams. I found the curry wasn't spicy enough, maybe you can request... different levels, but the yams were good, not too sweet. Rice and beans just right to me. Read more
I?m giving two stars ONLY because I got refunded this time!!! I used to really love this place. The owner (Jamaican lady) was... quite nice and pleasant. Recently, however I realize that I?ve been served left over food. Yes it?s not fresh. This is the 3rdand final time I have got spoilt food from this place!!! The first 2 times I spoke with the gentleman that was there. He?s wasrather rude and took offense to me telling him that the food was not fresh and that it was beginning to smell, a few hours afterpurchase. I was very professional but he got so heated because he says he thought I was just trying to get a refund!!! I?m aHUGE proponent of my culture- especially its cuisine so I had no reason to maliciously call out this restaurant! I simply wasgiving my feedback , as I do (good or bad)with any other place I visit. There is a saying that goes ?be kind and humble whendealing with people who prepare your food and that is why this is my last visit to this restaurant. I have a tummy ache fromconfidently chomping down the spoilt rice and peas that I literally just bought a 2pm today, August 2, 2022. I bought stewchicken w/ rice and peas and jerk turkey wings, and some other dry stuff like tutti fruti etc. The turkey wings were definitelynot fresh and the chicken was OK but the rice was 100% gone- to the point where there was slime coming from the fork when Ipulled it from the rice!!! Yuck! - just awful and disgusting. I feel so terrible writing this review but honestly, because Iwould have rather to tell the owner myself or share this with the people there but from my last 2 experiences, and from the 2-3signs up in the store. I don?t think they are open to that! (?All sales are final? ?No refunds? ?no exchange?) I am surprised this place is still open. If you want high blood pressure this should be your first stop. Their food is extremely... salty and the big guy admitted that ?all of their food is salty? so they knowingly make salty food. When I asked him to samplethe food before I bought it, because I?ve experienced salty food from there before, he was rude and told me I couldn?t taste itfirst.
