The baked goods are truly delicious! And the owner is so friendly. A great part of visiting Rosendale.
My original review did not post or was erased. I am a trans woman. I have known Essel for years and supported his... business. The other day I came in, which was the first time after I transitioned. I was asked if I had chopped my **** off, orif I was going to. Asked why I didn't like my **** Was told he had a trans male customer that wouldn't call he/him or his newname. Told me that he would also not respect my pronouns or my new name. That it was offensive for me to expect that. I refusedservice after this disgusting line of questioning and he cursed at me calling me a C slur and a liar, screaming at the top ofhis lungs, began chasing me out of the store. I had to run to my car to escape. A horrible experience. If you think I'm lyingtake a look at his reviews. If you are LGBTQ+ of any flavor be very careful entering this store. Read more
Food was pretty good, cakes are awesome! It's sad they verbally go after you if they suspect you're different. Owner is openly... and loudly transphobic, not a safe space for any LBGT folks. Read more
