Haven't been to Claim Jumper's for years, but the same great place if not better. Loved the air fried brussel sprouts (yes... brussel sprouts) and the steaks were pretty incredible. It actually took us a long time to order because there are sooo manygreat choices on the menu. We sat in the bar, the service was great as our waitress was friendly and anticipated our needsbefore asked. Hope to come back again very soon. Read more
Warning restaurant has a 3% surcharge to your bill. 100% of surcharge goes to the restaurant. There is a small sign on the... counter by the desserts. Service and food is great, except for the roasted vegetables. Avoid the roasted vegetables as theyare more soupy. The restaurant adds, for now, a 3% surcharge to you bill. The bill doesn't explain what the surcharge is for. Iwas in a party of 2 during happy hour. Disappointing of restaurants adding extra fees to the bill. Raise the prices or make theportions smaller. 100% of the surcharge goes to the restaurant. I was told it was for doing business in California. I enjoyedmy meal and service, but I won't come back to this restaurant chain due to the ridiculous surcharge. The reason for thesurcharge is weak. From the website: " restaurant surcharges have been challenged in California state and federal courts and thecourts found that restaurant surcharges are lawful." Claim Jumper is perfect for a happy hour date. The saloon area is dimly lit with comfortable booths. The setting is ideal to... share an appetizer and grab an adult beverage from the bar menu. Happy hour used to be everyday all day long, but they havechanged the time to Monday through Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. The happy hour menu consists of $6 margaritas, $6 wine by theglass, $5 draft beers and $5 appetizers. Claim Jumper is known for using the best ingredients and an atmosphere that makes youfeel at home. If the date is going well you can share a decadent six layer chocolate motherload cake, that is renowned by foodNetwork as one of America's "top five most decadent desserts". Or there is a chess board next to the fireplace, to engage in afriendly game of chess.
