It was good, I’d give it 5 stars, but at 6pm they ran out of mushrooms, we only got a bit in the beginning of our dinner, and... hot pot with no mushrooms is a pity. Also rice quality wasn’t great. Otherwise I really enjoyed it. Shabu-shabu and Tonkotsubroths were very nicely seasoned. Whether you like a bit more fat in your meat or you like it lean - they have an option foryou. Read more
Love Mo-Mo-Paradise in Taipei City. Glad to have them here in Southern California. AYCE lunch is great with selection of 4 meat... types and variety of fresh vegetables. AYCE hot pot and boba??? Don't walk... but RUN to this restaurant! It's possibly my new favorite lunch spot for shabu shabu. The... time limit is perfect and leaves you feeling very satisfied. Despite everything being all you can eat and drink, I actuallydidn't feel overly stuffed or gross after! There is seriously so much variety! It's not only hot pot, but there's good qualityJapanese curry and salads too. I was seriously blown away by the quality of everything. All of the vegetables seemed fresh andthe beef was beautifully marbled. Although very fatty, I highly recommend the Beef Short Plate! The All You Can Drink actuallyreally impressed me too! My favorites were the Jasmine Milk Tea and the Passionfruit Green Tea. Very fragrant and addicting!Good quality tea!!! I don't recommend the Oolong Tea though... very watered down. If you're still in need of some dessert after90 minutes of AYCE... they also offer very unique ice cream flavors to finish off your meal! I recommend the BlueberryCheesecake Ice Cream. The only thing that really fell short for me was the Sukiyaki broth. It would grow seriously SALTY themore I would drink the broth. I would have to ask for water to dilute it as time passed. Things have changed since it was first opened. They charge a required 18% fee for parties of all sizes. Really?? Usually this is... only required for parties of 6 or more. We had four people in our party. We had a reservation at 7. Checked in at 7, and had towait until 7:30 to be seated even though there were empty tables around. I would’ve just made the reservation for 7:30 if Iwanted to be seated at 7:30. I guess because there is a required service fee l, it is a reason to lack in service as well. Hadto flag down multiple waiters to just get a (small) bowl of garlic. Multiple trainees at the time we were there during a busytime of day. The veggies section was really cut down from when we used to go 3-4 years ago. All you can drink is no longerincluded in the steep price of $34.95 on weekends. The pork belly is literally 95% fat. Only reason for the extra star is thequality of beef is still ok. Multiple points were missed, can safely say we won’t be coming back. Read more
