What a cute little watering hole, billiards in the back!
Stop in for a quick cold one. They have A/C and friendly staff.
Great drinking bar during the day and party spot during the night! The staff is really nice here and after you get a few drinks... you?re really close to downtown. Old Sacramento is kind of touristy but every once in a while it?s fun for a local like me to godown and have a good time! I highly recommend getting the monster martini glass it was only $20 for lots of booze! Read more
River City saloon is located in Old Sacramento, which is a great date spot. It's the last operating Wild West saloon. The feel... of the saloon gives you a glimpse of that a true wild west saloon was like in the 1800's. There are a few modern changes fromthe 1800's. Such as, a gaming area in the back of the saloon, a Jack Daniel's bottle chandelier, $1 a play pool tables, karaokeon Friday and Saturday nights and live music on Thursdays. There has been at least one movie shoot at this location. Thebartender was great. He was attentive and easy going. The River City Saloon servers more than just rye whiskey and bourbon, likethe bartender would serve in the Old West. There are an assortment of local beer on tap and a variety of mixed cocktails. Thiswould be a great date spot. Grab a drink and get to know each other. Then play a game or two of pool in the back. If the date isgoing well, you could always walk around Old Sacramento.
