Not sure how nut allergy friendly this place is. I was thankful enough to go with a Chinese friend to communicate my... allergy. Skewers were expensive for not that much meat. Main dishes were very family style and sharable. Soup was a littlebland for me. Mochi rice dessert was 4 pieces and phenomenal but pricey. Overall, a solid local authentic Chinese place (youcan tell by who eats here) but too pricey for me to recommend regularly. Two main dishes, five skewers, and dessert ended upover $30 per person. Really good, and has improved over the past year. There is a special BBQ skewers menu in the evening, ask for it if they don't... give it to you. Most BBQ items are seasoned with lots of cumin and ground chilis. Regular menu has plenty of seriously spicyand offal offerings if you are into that, but plenty of mild and veg options as well. One of the weirdest experiences I?ve had at a restaurant in this area. The staff didn?t take our order for the longest time,... when there were only 3 or 4 other tables with customers. There was a woman sitting at a table in front of us who was literallysmoking a cigarette (the whole restaurant smelled like stale smoke). The food was okay - We got salt and pepper chicken that wasway too salty, albeit, overall flavor was good and it was nice and crispy. We also got some shrimp fried rice; this was alsookay, flavor was a bit lacking and it only had a few tiny pieces of shrimp in it. When we were trying to leave and pay at thecounter, the worker just sat there on his phone texting while we just stood there waiting for him to finish before he took careof us. The restaurant dynamic seemed like a family owned restaurant in that everyone knew each other, but they were a bit toolax and came off really unprofessional.
