My husband and I had a great time here! Not too busy in the afternoon. Staff was kind and quick. Ambiance is cute! Food was... amazing. Really great guacamole, which is important for me! We’ll be back to try something else from the menu. Read more

I have been to many Mexican restaurants but I have to say that this is my favorite one by far! Their margaritas are some of the... best I've ever had and their guanajuato enchiladas are a must! My only possible complaint is that I don't live closer so I cancome back more often! Read more

Cool environment to "be cool" at, lol. Food and my margarita was OK, whatever we ate was pretty lackluster, but my husband kind... of liked it. Staff was dragging feet but nice all the same. It was Sunday brunch and we could feel the lethargy, but they weretrying... We never actually knew who our waiter was and never got a proper greeting. We had to ask for silverware and my forkhad lipstick on it (not mine). Beautiful building and decor. You do pay for bill on those handheld devices and I think yourwaitress can see firsthand what type of tip you leave. Not a problem, but doesn't fit this type of restaurant. Read more

I was in Sacramento for business and Zocalo was one of the places my boss recommended to me. I’m very lucky my boss is a... fellow foodie because this place was excellent! It was so good, I went twice during the week I was in the area. I went forhappy hour the first night of my stay to take advantage of sampling their menu while keeping costs down since I don’t get muchback in reimbursement. I ordered a virgin mango margarita, fish tacos, and the potato/spinach flautas. Everything wasdelicious! My only issue was that the liquid from the salsa made the dishes soggy, though I will note I was taking pictures andvideos. So maybe I need to dig in faster. I have a feeling the happy hour fish tacos are smaller, but I’m glad they werebecause I was stuffed by the time I finished the flautas. Each plate came with two each. And the mango margarita was sorefreshing on such a hot day! The second time I went I ordered takeout because I had a separate evening class that I needed toprepare for after a day of working. I ordered the trio of enchiladas and cilantro rice. The trio came with an enchilada in ared sauce, one with a green sauce, and the final one with mole. Out of the three, I preferred the mole. But they were all yummy! The mole had so much depth in flavor. At first I found it to be slightly sweet, and then it turned savory as I progressedthrough the dish. I will be ordering that again! I also liked the cilantro rice. I am one of those people that think cilantrotastes weird. The rice was full of cilantro flavor, but I was able to eat it. I won’t order it again in the future (I justwanted to try it and I’m glad I did). But if you love cilantro, you will enjoy this rice. Service was friendly! It did takeawhile to get a table, but I know they were busy because I can see the to-go bags piling from online orders. One of mycolleagues went the next day and she said the place was packed! I’m not surprised because the food is really good. I wouldlove Read more
